Hafapea's Altar

This altar will serve to represent all five of the Elements, earth,
air, water, fire and spirit. Paint the altar in either brilliant white
or deep black. In the center of the altarís top, paint a pentagram. The
points of the pentagram represent the five elements, as follows:

The top point = Spirit.
The top right point = Water.
The top left point = Air.
The bottom right point = Fire.
The bottom left point = Earth.

You can either paint the symbols just outside of these points, or use
paints of the appropriate colors for the actual points themselves. The
symbols and appropriate colors for the elements are as follows:

Spirit = a bright white .
Water = a solid bright blue .
Air = A solid bright yellow triangle with a bright purple line crossing it, .
Fire = a solid red .
Earth = a solid black upside down triangle with a silver line through it, .

High Ceremonial Magick Altar

Your altar can be a small table covered with a black cloth, or the traditional
ďdouble cube.Ē The traditional double cube is 36-inches in height and 18-inches
deep. It represents the earth plane because of its 10 external sides (the number
of Earth in the Quabalah). It is usually constructed of two 18-inch cubes stacked
one on top of the other, but a solid piece of furniture with the same dimensions
can also be used. Choose the colors and symbols for your altar carefully, if you
donít use traditional black (black represents our being from the true spiritual
light from above, even though itís from here that we must begin our star climb).

Heart or Love Altar

Spend some time each day in front of the altar thinking of what
love and friendship mean to you and in your life. This will become
a very powerful place for casting spells.

Pick a place in your home where you can leave the altar set up.
For ideas you can refer to Feng Shui, which designates an area of
your home as the "love point" or even use a particular room that is
located in the West of your home. West is where the element of Water
is housed. You can also just choose your spot based on what feels
right to you.

Find a beautiful rose-covered wall paper, sturdy wrapping paper, or
a piece of cloth, and use it to cover a strip of wall behind the altar,
from the floor to the ceiling. Tack it smoothly to the wall.

Center your chosen table in front of the rose-covered strip and cover
it with a pink, red or rose-covered table cloth.

The heart-shaped stone (which may either be naturally formed or
man-made), pink or red candle and holder, and the vase of flowers
should be placed as depicted. The other items are merely suggestions
for other things that you may want to place on your altar. You can
also choose for yourself where to position them. Refer to the
symbols

of this site for other ideas of items that you can use, and
also use your intuition to select items that represent love to you. This
altar is meant to represent what love is to you. The site of it should
infuse you with wonderful, warm and happy thoughts and feelings of love,
so personalization is key.

The North = Earth and the angel

The East = Air and the angel Gabriel.
The South = Fire and the angel Michael.
The West = Water and the angel Raphael.

The candles for the elements (green for earth, yellow for air, red for
fire, and blue for water) and the dish of salt (for earth) are optional
and not include in Laurie Cabotís altar layout. This is, however, where
they would be placed if the ritual you are about to perform calls for them.
